The scheme has already seen 26.5km of district heating installed, connecting 1,983 homes and 7 civic buildings with more connections completed recently and more planned for the future.<\/p>\n<p>The project utilises waste heat from the local EfW plant, will account for 16,256 tonnes of CO2 reduction per year &amp; alleviate fuel poverty.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vitalenergi.co.uk\/javascript:\" class=\"js-read-more-rte read-more-btn\">Solution detail<span class=\"btn__link font-ico-plus\"><\/span><span class=\"btn__link font-ico-minus\"><\/span><\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"rich-text-image rte\" data-anchor=\"\">\n<div class=\"wrap rich-text-image__wrap\">\n<h2 class=\"rich-text-image__title rte__title\">Southwark Heat Pumps &#8211; Consort Estate, Wyndham Estate and Newington Estate<\/h2>\n<div class=\"rich-text-image__img-holder\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"rich-text-image__img\" src=\"https:\/\/www.vitalenergi.co.uk\/media\/2fqllxuw\/southwark.jpg?anchor=center&amp;mode=crop&amp;width=835&amp;height=474&amp;rnd=133033795046270000\" alt=\"Southwark\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"rich-text-image__text-container\">\n<p>Southwark Council are decarbonising their existing gas fired heat networks across three local estates, benefitting over 2,000 properties with a lower carbon heat supply. Saving 3,362 tonnes of carbon a year, this is the first-time <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vitalenergi.co.uk\/#\">water source heat pumps<\/a> have been retrofitted within an existing high temperature heat network in London.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vitalenergi.co.uk\/javascript:\" class=\"js-read-more-rte read-more-btn\">Solution detail<span class=\"btn__link font-ico-plus\"><\/span><span class=\"btn__link font-ico-minus\"><\/span><\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"rich-text-image rte\" data-anchor=\"\">\n<div class=\"wrap rich-text-image__wrap\">\n<h2 class=\"rich-text-image__title rte__title\">Swansea Bay University Health Board<\/h2>\n<div class=\"rich-text-image__img-holder\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"rich-text-image__img\" src=\"https:\/\/www.vitalenergi.co.uk\/media\/ohwnjckl\/approved-dji_0007.jpg?anchor=center&amp;mode=crop&amp;width=835&amp;height=474&amp;rnd=132998611747500000\" alt=\"Approved DJI 0007\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"rich-text-image__text-container\">\n<p>The Trust\u2019s multi-phase RE:FIT project has pioneered an innovative blend of renewable energy generation and energy conservation measures including the creation of the UK\u2019s first solar farm dedicated to supplying an NHS hospital.<\/p>\n<p>The primary focus of the project was to deliver substantial and rapid decarbonisation to help the health board meet their net zero commitments.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vitalenergi.co.uk\/javascript:\" class=\"js-read-more-rte read-more-btn\">Solution detail<span class=\"btn__link font-ico-plus\"><\/span><span class=\"btn__link font-ico-minus\"><\/span><\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"rich-text-case-study rte\">\n<div class=\"wrap rich-text-case-study__wrap\">\n<p>Two of Vital Energi\u2019s other projects were in contention on the night, having been named as finalists in their respective categories.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Northwick Park Hospital, in partnership with London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust \u2013 Integrated Energy<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Vital Energi are guaranteeing savings of \u00a31.9m a year for London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust and are reducing carbon emissions by 2,581 tonnes a year at Northwick Park Hospital. This is through a fully integrated, self-funding, multi technology energy solution which will help decarbonise the Trust, as well as creating a smart grid from which the local community will also benefit.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Oakshott Court, in partnership with Danfoss and Camden Council- Heat &amp; Efficiency (Digital Innovation)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We have partnered with Danfoss to introduce revolutionary AI software technology at Camden Council\u2019s Oakshott Court, which in just 7 months has reduced the site\u2019s energy consumption by a third, helping the borough transition to a low carbon future.
