{"id":1882,"date":"2026-04-09T08:42:02","date_gmt":"2026-04-09T08:42:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vitalenergi.creativespark.co.uk\/?p=1882"},"modified":"2026-04-09T08:42:02","modified_gmt":"2026-04-09T08:42:02","slug":"vital-energi-to-help-the-city-of-london-in-drive-towards-net-zero","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vitalenergi.creativespark.co.uk\/?p=1882","title":{"rendered":"Vital Energi to help the City of London in drive towards net zero"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\ufeff<\/p>\n<p><meta name=\"viewport\" content=\"width=device-width, initial-scale=1, shrink-to-fit=no\"><meta http-equiv=\"X-UA-Compatible\" content=\"IE=edge\"><meta name=\"format-detection\" content=\"telephone=no\"><meta charset=\"utf-8\"><title>Vital Energi to help the City of London in drive towards net zero<\/title><meta name=\"description\" content=\"\"><meta name=\"keywords\" content=\"\"><meta name=\"robots\" content=\"index,follow\"><meta name=\"googlebot\" content=\"index,follow\"><meta name=\"twitter:card\" content=\"summary\"><meta name=\"twitter:title\" content=\"Vital Energi to help the City of London in drive towards net zero\"><meta name=\"twitter:description\" content=\"\"><meta property=\"og:type\" content=\"website\"><meta property=\"og:url\" content=\"https:\/\/www.vitalenergi.co.uk\/media\/press-releases\/vital-energi-to-help-the-city-of-london-in-drive-towards-net-zero\/\"><meta property=\"og:title\" content=\"Vital Energi to help the City of London in drive towards net zero\"><meta property=\"og:description\" content=\"\"><\/p>\n<div>\n<div class=\"rich-text-case-study rte\">\n<div class=\"wrap rich-text-case-study__wrap\">\n<p><span class=\"rich-text-pumps__text rte__text\">Vital Energi have been awarded a contract by the City of London Corporation to guarantee energy savings of over \u00a3480,000 a year and carbon savings of over 1,000 tonnes a year, helping the governing body of the Square Mile to take major strides towards the ambitious target of net zero carbon emissions by 2027 for its corporate estate.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The project will be delivered through the Greater London Authority\u2019s Retrofit Accelerator framework designed to help make London&#8217;s non-domestic public buildings and assets more energy efficient, and the works will be funded via the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.vitalenergi.co.uk\/media\/press-releases\/how-to-successfully-secure-psds-funding-and-accelerate-your-decarbonisation-roadmap\/\">PSDS<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>Vital Energi will deliver multi-technology solutions through Energy Conservation Measures, which will improve energy performance within five of the City\u2019s most iconic buildings, including the Barbican Centre, Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and the City Corporation\u2019s Guildhall headquarters.<\/p>\n<p>Energy Conservation Measures will include pipe distribution repairs, ventilation distribution repairs, pipe insulation, Air Handling Unit EC fan retrofit, LED lighting, and metering, to reduce energy use, unnecessary heat loss and help improve comfort conditions for building users.<\/p>\n<p>As well as upgrading and optimising Building Management Systems (BMS), Vital Energi will also install Vital View, which is a BMS performance monitoring system.
