Phase 1 will provide approximately 3MW.<\/p>\n<p>This first phase will be a \u00a33.6m investment, of which 50% is funding from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).<\/p>\n<p>The commencement of the project marks a major milestone in the Airport\u2019s ambitious strategy to be Net Zero emissions by 2035, ahead of the majority of airports across Europe which have plans to become Net Zero before 2050, and ahead of the Government\u2019s Jet Zero strategy target of 2040.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"rich-text-image rte\" data-anchor=\"\">\n<div class=\"wrap rich-text-image__wrap\">\n<div class=\"rich-text-image__img-holder\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"rich-text-image__img\" src=\"https:\/\/www.vitalenergi.co.uk\/media\/hxvfhrug\/photo-4.jpg?anchor=center&mode=crop&width=835&height=474&rnd=133117738394930000\" alt=\"Photo 4\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"rich-text-image__text-container\">\n<p>The site for the scheme is situated on Airport owned land to the south of the eastern end of the Airport runway.<\/p>\n<p>The scheme will include areas of tree planting to screen the view of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vitalenergi.co.uk\/solar-farms\/\">solar farm<\/a> from the surrounding roads and public rights of way.
